‘I’m a friend of Dr.Moore’
This piece was shot on a Bolex HR16 on 100 feet of 16mm film.
When I arrived at the location to shoot, I was very aware of the feeling of an absent presence. I tried to re-create this feeling in the film itself. I immediately noticed the photogenic poten tial of this space, and that it was inspired the way I shot my film (for example, on a tripod). I edited my 16mm film on a Steenbeck. I wanted to edit my film to give the moving images a chronology. I edited out the contrived moments and feel that the remaining footage has a natural motion, but feels like a photo album.
